How to Verify the Foreign Employer Before Accepting a Gulf Job
By AssignmentsAbroad ·
Fake job offers often use the name and logo of real companies. Before you accept an offer, confirm that the foreign employer exists and that the recruiter is genuinely authorised to fill the vacancy.
Find the employer's official details
- The company's official website.
- Its registered business details.
- Its physical address and company contact information.
Contact the employer independently
Contact the company using independently sourced contact details, not only the ones the recruiter gave you, to confirm the vacancy and that the recruiter is authorised to fill it.
Do not be convinced by appearances
A genuine-looking logo or a company registration document does not, by itself, prove that the job offer is genuine. Documents can be copied or forged, so confirm directly with the employer.
Ask the recruiter plain questions
- Who is the actual employer?
- Where will I work?
- Who is responsible for recruitment and deployment?
Key takeaway
Confirm the employer and the vacancy through details you found yourself. A convincing logo or document is not verification.
