Job Description
- MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER – POWER CONTROL ROOM / PREFABRICATED SUBSTATION
o Responsible on the mechanical and structural design, sizing and enclosure integrity and compliance of the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,… with client specifications
o Responsible on mechanical design, structural calculations, loading, cooling system sizing and fire & gas system design for the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,…
o Responsible on reviewing the relevant technical requirements provided by the client for the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,…
o Identify the type of construction required case-to-case to build the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,…
o Responsible for providing the costing of the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,… (Except the electrical items such as Transformers, Switchgear, MCC, DB’s. SCADA) to the sales engineer to include in his commercial proposal calculations.
Propose the most effective design that satisfies the client specifications, our quality standards and safety at lowest cost.
o Preparing detailed and complete take-off and BOM for all the required materials needed to construct the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,… such as but not limited to steel structure components, roof-and-wall panels, HVAC, Fire and Gas, doors, accessories, hardware…to sales for completing the proposal
o Estimate the required man-hours to build a specific prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES ,…
o For on hand jobs, to issue the fabrication details with Production Release to Operations department to start the execution.
For on-hand jobs to issue the Materials Release in the ERP system to Supply Chain department to order the materials and components
o Ensuring that the requirements of ISO are being implemented and maintained.
o Attend internal meetings or with clients related to the prefabricated buildings, PCR, PES where and when it is needed.
Skills
Minimum 7 years of working experience as Mechanical/Design or Manufacturing on the same field of work.Extensive knowledge in Mechanical Design or Structural Calculations
Proficient in English Language, Computer LiterateStrong Skill in Design Applications 3D AutoCAD, Microstation,
Job Description
- Testing of all Electrical equipment such as Transformer, MV/LV Switchgear components (breakers, CT, PT and Auxiliary Relays and Functional.
- Testing of Transformers, MV/LV MCC equipment components such as Contactor, CT and PT
- Assist in modification of Transformer, MV/LV Switchgears, MV/LV MCC as per approved drawings and project specification with guidance of Supervisor.
- Repair / Troubleshoot and refurbishment of Breakers, Transformers and Motors.
- Customer coordination at site for necessary requirement and schedule to complete the assignment within the stipulated time frame.
- Reporting to supervisor to update site work progress in daily basis and manage the site team if required.Re
Skills
Reading and understanding of drawings and scheme functionality. Well knowledge in project site safety procedure and standard. Driving license is mandatory.
