Job Overview
The HR Business Partner is responsible for managing the implementation of core HR activities in line with Abyat Strategy including but not limited to:
Employee relations
- Meet employees routinely and listen to their issues and concerns.
- Receive employees’ issues and complaints via email, WhatsApp, teams, text msg, and verbally.
- Investigate problems, such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, and employee appeals and grievances
- Manage and resolve employee issues and complains
- Conduct employee feedback sessions (Rap session)
- Conduct exit interviews.
- Meet Abyat employees to understand our culture and how we can keep improving it
- Ensure a proper rollout of the EVP in all our HR processes, initiatives, and assessments
- Document and report the reasons for turnover
- Document and report employee issues and complains
- Conduct all onboarding activities for new employees
- Proper documentation of employee profiles
- Coordinate the attendance of sales officer employees
Recruitment
- Support the talent acquisition team with assigned tasks
- Help in Recruitment, pre, and onboarding, transfer, promotions, employee records, etc.
- Support with the assessment and recruitment of retail roles
- Oversee the Employee onboarding/offboarding process as per company standards
Performance management
- Support in implementing the employee performance management system
- Follow up with the employees on the completion of performance cycle steps
- Support employees in formulating the annual performance objectives
- Map anyone not meeting performance criteria and proactively advise managers on the performance management process, reviews, and under-performers with the aim of a having ‘high performing team culture
Talent management and development
- Process Business Partner for the region talent management, succession planning, and performance management
- Advising on how to maximize talent and capability growth opportunities as well as to manage potential risk within business change
- Retention of High performers
- Support Stores leaders to identify the skills and behaviors required to meet the future demands of the business and provide advice on how to close capability gaps through the recruitment and development of talent
Brand and culture
- Develop and maintain a strong brand-focused environment for all employees in everything that they do
- Together with senior leaders, continue to create a fast-paced and energetic culture, with the employee engagement initiatives
- Support in the rollout of the employee engagement survey
- Manage employee relations, grievances, and escalations.
- Represent human capital department in Abyat staff personal events
- Manage Abyat employee engagement events (Sunday basket, meet and eat, etc.)
Skills
Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as an HRBP, or similar
- familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills; sharp business acumen
- Ability to build rapport with employees and vendors
- 3-5 years of experience in HR
Education
- BSc/BA in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- Professional certification in Human Resources is a plus.
