Job Description

Facilitate the overall process of organization development for the group ensuring the organizational structures are available and optimally aligned to deliver the business strategy efficiently and effectively.

Ensure that functional descriptions for all functions/BUs is in place and updated in line with the business strategy.

Ensure up to date job profiles are in place and that all reporting staff are clear in their roles and their accountabilities.

Oversee and lead all organizational development plans including training, learning and development, succession planning, total rewards, performance management etc. for the group and BUs.

Ensure that the group operates a robust process of job evaluation and allocation of jobs to grades.

Recommend the appropriate compensation and benefits strategy and salary allowance and benefits structures. which are competitive in the market place and enable the organisation to attract, motivate and retain appropriate staff.

 

Gather and analyse market data to measure the competitiveness of the group’s compensation and benefits package, and make recommendations as appropriate.

Direct and manage the creation of a healthy working environment that fosters good employee relations and ensures an upward performance curve within the group and business units.

Ensure effective and efficient employee service delivery for HR operational activities such as employee relations, payroll, recruitment activities including sourcing, screening, competency-based interviewing, testing and assessment, selection, job offers, employment contracts, new employee orientation and probationary period and smooth disengagements

Monitor and review the performance appraisal system. Ensure that annual appraisals are carried out in a timely manner, in-line with the HR policy.

 

Ensure that individual employee relation cases are well managed and meet the requirements of the HR policies and employment legislation.

 

Manage and increase the effectiveness of Group HR team, through continuous improvements and ensure constant communication within the department.

Continuously create, develop and enhance group’s HR policies and procedures.

Select, develop and manage the HR team effectively and provide them with professional guidance to ensure qualitative outputs.

Allocate work to employees, nominate for training as per group’s guidelines, conduct performance reviews and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency.

Supervise direct reports in their day-to-day tasks and guide them in managing their performance by providing appropriate feedback and counseling.

Provide feedback to team, and identify need based training requirements for direct reports.

Ensure that appropriate standards of conduct are established and complied with.

Maintain relationships with government agencies, clients, banks and other relevant external stakeholders and continually manage/ monitor the same.

Ensure that the whole team is a “quality of service” oriented team at all levels and times.

Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration or a related technical discipline.

Master’s degree will be preferable.

10+ years of experience in a similar position.

Experience in managing leadership development, compensation & benefits structure, employee performance management activities for a similar size company.

Experience with managing/delivering support services for HR function.

Extensive knowledge of local labour laws and compliances.
