Job Description
The Incumbent is responsible in creating and implementing a variety of reports and analysis that help maximize the effectiveness of health intelligence initiatives and strategies
Data Analytics
- Develops robust analytics and performance tools for meaningful metrics to support the organizations success in a value-based care environment
- Present sophisticated numerical information as graphs, charts, tables, written reports, or other methods for publication and consumption by clinicians, customers and clinical business units
- Produce financial and clinical intelligence by querying data repositories and generating reports and data extracts. Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources
Data Governance
- Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard any sensitive information.
- Understand end user requirements thoroughly and ensure reporting provides a high level of value to stakeholders and their roles
- Scrutinize information requests, de-identify information before release and observe nature of users and purposes are in line with organizational requirements and policies.
Patient Safety Commitment
- Ensure that the aspects of patient safety, risk management, and quality improvement are embedded in all the processes under are of responsibility.
- Foster a culture of safety, where staff feels encouraged to raise concerns and report incidents without fear of disciplinary procedure.
- To develop a culture of learning and encourage staff to learn from defects. Learning should lead to continuous process improvement.
- To collaborate with other leaders for Patient safety.
Skills
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management or a related stream.
Certification, license or training Requirements
Certification such as CHDA (by AHIMA)
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum 6 years of experience in quality assurance and quality analysis.
- Strong Microsoft Spread sheet skills
- Strong report writing software.
- Knowledge of database applications
