JOB PURPOSE

  • The incumbent in this job is responsible for controlling the overall budget requirements of the terminal to ensure that all budgetary needs are met and controlled in accordance to finance requirements.

 

JOB KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Generates SAP Cost Report and maintains of sections’ cost report.
  • Day to day, support and handles inquiries of all cost reports transactions of terminal leaders.
  • Plans yearly budgetary requirements of the terminal according to the finance department guidelines and requirements.
  • Performs bookkeeping activities, purchase requisition management, and Administration assistance.
  • Integrates Quality, Environmental, and health, Safety management program principles in all work activities.
  • Responsible for understanding the importance of budget monitoring and skilful in developing presentation materials.

Skills

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A diploma from a university or college institutions, or a basic education certificate certified by an accredited commercial institution.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a plus in related filed like Finance / Business Administration / Accounting
  • Familiarity with the operations and functions of other departments, in particular with those impacting the department.
  • Three years’ experience in an accounting firm.
  • Minimum 6 years in total experience

 

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQIREMENTS

  • Accounting knowledge
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with people of various types and organizational levels.
  • Broad understanding of the Company’s role and functions.
  • Thorough knowledge of procedural systems in the office environment (e.g. SAP cost report, generating PR for PO, document filing, correspondence preparation).
  • Thorough knowledge of typing, clerical skills and office practices, most especially accounting procedures, and presentation material development skills.
  • Fluent in English (read, speak, and write).
  • Working knowledge of typical office equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of port management and operating procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of quality, environmental, health and safety aspects associated with the job.
