Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The Sr. System Test Lead for SEIT solutions is responsible for the overall execution of the solution “System Test” function for SEIT delivered solutions. Such solutions will, almost always, be cross-Business Unit (BU) projects.
The successful candidate will ensure that each SEIT solution will:
- Have timely and complete System Test plans created and scheduled
- Have accurate, complete and detailed Test Cases created and traced to the Solution Requirements locked down by the solution’s System Engineering team.
- Have systematic, complete and timely execution of such test cases carried out.
- Have any test case failures identified and appropriately remediated internal to the team or, if necessary, externally with the solution’s Requirements Engineer(s) and any other affected stakeholder.
- Have, upon successful test plan completion, System Test results and traceability information provided to the SEIT Solution Certification team for their subsequent validation activities.
- Have collaborative engagement with the Solution Certification team, should such Certification identify remedial action as being necessary on the part of the SET System Test team.
The successful candidate will manage the team performing the above functions and, as/when necessary, help perform the above functions.
The candidate will interface internally and/or externally with SEIT Requirements, Solution Certification and possibly other BU teams/team members. In addition, the candidate will work closely (as/when needed) with BU Requirements, Systems Engineers and T&V teams/members to accomplish the stated functions.

Specific Knowledge/Skills
Bachelors Degree
6+ years of experience with system test or validation
4+ years organizing and planning system test
4+ years of successfully managing a Test & Validation team
Must be extremely knowledgeable and proficient in System Test, System Integration Test and Certification/Validation activities for both hardware and software solutions.
Must be extremely knowledgeable and proficient in planning, scheduling and managing such activities.
Must be extremely knowledgeable and proficient in requirements analysis, test case creation, test case execution, test case failure analysis and test lab equipment/tool utilization.
Must be extremely knowledgeable and proficient in tools used to support such activities. |
